Shalaine Powell is simply just mom to her children and Shalaine to her family and friends but to the literary world she is S.Yvonne. She was born and partially raised in Los Angeles, California before moving to Carver Ranches, Florida. Her love of urban fiction books is what molded her dream of one day becoming an author.

S.Yvonne penned her first book Karma’s Destruction in 2012 and self-published it with Outskirts Press in 2015. She then signed with publisher David Weaver Presents and the Bankroll Squad in 2016 releasing her first series. S.Yvonne ultimately decided to be an independent author in 2019.

S.Yvonne has written over seventy books and counting where urban fiction bee including her most popular standalone Tasha’s Got A Baby and series A Cold Winter With A HotBoy and it’s spinoffs. She has repeatedly been ranked #1 on Amazon’s urban fiction best sellers list. In addition to becoming an independent author in 2019 she relaunched her publishing company S.Yvonne Presents.

S.Yvonne Presents is currently a publishing home to twenty-seven authors. She prides herself on running a reputable company as well as leaving a mark in the literary world. Though, S.Yvonne promotes and assists her authors with building their brands she also pushes them to do so as well. She pushes those around her to their full potential, dropping gems and knowledge so they can win.

S.Yvonne has been graciously hosting the Miami Urban Book Expo where authors, publishers, vendors and readers come together to interact and network. She also travels around the United States to other states for book events to connect with even more readers, authors and publishers.
