(News) Rostrum Records Brings Jamal Jimoh On-board As VP of Marketing

First broken by Billboard, Rostrum Records has announced that seasoned industry exec Jamal Jimoh has joined its staff as their new VP of Marketing and Revenue, along with Yazid Britt as director, creative services and marketing. They will both be under the helm of Rostrum GM Jonathan Partch.

Partch said of the new additions, “Jamal and Yazid bring a depth of experience, creativity, and expertise that will help propel Rostrum through 2019 and well into the future as we continue our push to be the premier independent home for hip-hop and R&B. I couldn’t be more excited for them to be joining the team.”

Coming from Premier Music Group, Jamal’s resume is impressive and extensive. Previously working for eOne Entertainment, Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Entertainment and was the manager of A&R research and promotion at Island Def Jam.

“It’s rare that we encounter opportunities that feel like a hand-in-glove fit,” Jimoh went on to say. “Being able to bring my experience across management, media and marketing to Rostrum feels about as close to ideal as you can get. I’m truly looking forward to working with Benjy (Rostrum President), Jonathan, and the talented team here.”

Rostrum Records has an extensive roster of artists, including 24 Hrs, Rockie Fresh, Innanet James, Problem, Taliwhoah, Caleb Brown, Lambo Anlo, Boaz and more. They are more widely known for launching Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller’s careers. Starting in Pittsburgh, Rostrum now resides in Los Angeles, California.
